Huge ’90s party announced: Chief 1, Danny Kool and Crazy Frog on the bill
Get the Buffalo shoes, hair mascara and low-rise trousers out.
Because on September 19, ’90s nostalgia will be turned all the way up at Café Frederiksberg in Aalborg.
A huge ’90s party will take over both floors of the iconic dining and nightlife venue – and this time, Frede plans to go considerably further than a few old hits and colourful balloons.

Chief 1 and Danny Kool will be stopping by, an LED dance floor weighing more than 800 kilos will be brought in – and there will even be a major Crazy Frog show featuring musicians, dancers and special effects.
Crazy Frog gets his own show
The ’90s party is already a tradition at Café Frederiksberg, but this year Silas Patrick Huusom has been given the opportunity to take the concept apart and rebuild it from scratch.
And there will be no shortage of nostalgia.
One of the evening’s major guests will be Chief 1, who co-founded Rockers By Choice and has since made a significant mark on Danish music as an artist, songwriter and producer.
Danny Kool will also be there, likely sending quite a few guests straight back to their teenage bedrooms with hits such as “Señorita”.

And then there’s Crazy Frog.
But the world-famous blue frog won’t just be coming in to wave at the guests.
Café Frederiksberg is putting together a full Crazy Frog show with a mascot, musicians, dancers, CO₂ and special effects which, according to Silas Patrick Huusom, would normally belong on much larger stages.
Bringing in an 800-kilo dance floor
The rest of Café Frederiksberg will also be transformed into a huge ’90s universe.
Among other things, an LED dance floor weighing more than 800 kilos will be brought in especially for the occasion.
“It’s by no means the easiest solution – but that’s exactly the point,” says Silas Patrick Huusom.

He took over as the new event manager at Café Frederiksberg this year, and the ambition is to turn up the volume even further when it comes to big and unusual experiences.
So far, the new events have got off to a flying start and have sold out.
Guests have, among other things, been sent on trips to Barcelona and luxury stays in Paris, while the team behind Café Frederiksberg previously spent almost 100 hours building a single Murder Mystery Night from scratch.
And that is exactly the approach Silas Patrick Huusom is bringing to the ’90s party.
“I simply think you owe your guests more than blowing up a couple of foil balloons, putting on the old records and calling it an experience,” he says.
They want to give guests FOMO
The ambition is not simply to throw another themed party.

Café Frederiksberg wants to create those evenings where guests don’t quite know what awaits them when they walk through the door.
“We don’t just want to give people a reason to go out. We want to give them an evening they’ll talk about afterwards – and preferably also give those who stayed home a serious case of FOMO when the pictures start appearing the next day,” says Silas Patrick Huusom.
The big ’90s party will take place at Café Frederiksberg on September 19.
Tickets can be purchased at the bar at Café Frederiksberg and via the venue’s website.
