Aalborg Tower unveils events: Big celebration ahead

In early June, it will be exactly 10 years since MigogAalborg launched as a new media platform in Aalborg.

Since then, things have moved fast.

The local media outlet, which was created with the ambition of gathering everything important happening in Aalborg in one place and telling the constructive stories about the city, has today grown into one of North Jutland’s biggest media platforms with 1.8 million monthly visitors, nearly 130,000 followers on Facebook and more than 55,000 followers on Instagram.

At the same time, MigogAalborg is behind major events such as Aalborg Eat Out and AALBORG AWARDS.

Now the anniversary is set to be celebrated with an entire week filled with events in collaboration with Aalborg Tower, AKKC, Podium and Restaurant Under Tårnet.

“From the very beginning, our focus has been to create a media platform for the people of Aalborg and celebrate everything that makes the city special.

That is why it also makes sense for us to celebrate our 10th anniversary together with the city — and of course at Aalborg’s biggest landmark.

For us, the greatest birthday gift would be for people to want to experience the different events we have put together,” says Thomas Enevoldsen, co-founder of MigogAalborg.

The celebration will take place during the first week of June, where new experiences will be on the program almost every day at Aalborg Tower.

Gourmet dining, pork buffet and cake buffet

The program covers a wide range of experiences

From exclusive cocktail evenings high above the city to all-you-can-eat pork belly, brunch buffets, cake buffets and large summer evenings under the open sky at Restaurant Under Tårnet.

Among the highlights is an exclusive cocktail experience in Aalborg Tower, where guests can enjoy creative cocktails with panoramic views of Aalborg.

The cocktail menu has been developed in collaboration with Sebastian Døssing, Rasmus Stigsen and Aksel Nielsen, and the evening will feature both classic cocktails and new signature creations.

Restaurant Under Tårnet will also host a jazz dinner with live music from All Stars Jazzband and a special two-course menu.

Guests can also experience an evening with unlimited pork belly and live music, while later in the week there will be a major garden party with OFYR grill, free draft beer, wine and soft drinks as well as DJ Danni Vinther under the open sky by Aalborg Tower.

Gourmet dinner with Aalborg’s wildest view

One of the biggest highlights will be the exclusive Chef’s Table Dinner.

For the occasion, Aalborg Tower will be transformed into an intimate gourmet experience with five courses, a wine or juice pairing menu and views overlooking all of Aalborg.

After dinner, the evening continues with cocktails in the tower late into the night.

There will also be brunch buffets, lunch servings and a large cake buffet in the green surroundings at Restaurant Under Tårnet.

New life at Aalborg Tower

The birthday week will also mark the launch of the “new” Aalborg Tower.

Since restaurateur Michel Lycoops took over the operation of Aalborg Tower and Skydepavillonen together with the Podium team, intensive work has been done to renew the location.

Aalborg Tower has been renovated with new interiors, wooden panels and modern LED lighting, while the area around Skydepavillonen will also function as a lunch restaurant and gathering point with outdoor seating.

“I’m over the moon. It’s absolutely fantastic that we managed to complete this project.

Now it feels natural to show the people of Aalborg the new facilities and what we can create together with our amazing staff.

We also want to support MigogAalborg’s 10th anniversary because the media platform helps tell the positive stories from our city.

Now we hope that with so many different events during the week, we can offer something for everyone,” explains restaurateur Michel Lycoops.

MigogAalborg’s Birthday Week takes place from June 3rd to June 7th with events both inside and around the Aalborg Tower.
