Aalborg Zoo’s Diversity Evening: Experience a day of culture and connection
Are you new to Aalborg or have you been here for years?
This does not matter because Diversity Evening is for everyone and offers a unique opportunity to connect with fellow internationals and locals alike in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
So, mark your calendars for September 5th, because you do not want to miss it.
The Diversity Evening is organized by the International House North Denmark (IHND), the Integration Council, Aalborg Municipality, and the Aalborg Zoo with the goal of bringing people together.

A free trip to the zoo
The best part? The Diversity Evening is for free and no sign-up is needed! Just show up and have fun! That is how simple it is. Come and enjoy Aalborg Zoo, meet people from all over the world, and experience an evening full of fun. Yet, do not forget to stop by and say hi to the friendly staff of the International House North Denmark!
Food, fun, and friendships
The event runs from 17:00 to 20:30, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the atmosphere. Feeling hungry? There are plenty of options! Enjoy a delicious meal at the zoo’s restaurant, or bring your own food and make use of the barbecue area for a cozy grill session with friends and family.
This is just a small part of a bigger picture – Welcome September
The goal of the national initiative “Welcome September” is to provide foreigners living in Denmark with the warmest welcome possible. Supported by a range of partners, including municipalities, state authorities, business organizations, and more.
Therefore, ‘Welcome September’ is designed to help you feel at home in Denmark. The initiative is part of the project Talent to a Green Denmark that is co-funded by the European Social Fund and Danmarks Erhvervsfremmestyrelse (The Danish Board of Business Development).
