Aalborg’s largest Gin Festival: Helmuth fills Europahallen with the best gin
We all long for everyday life to become a little more normal and for things to start happening again here in Aalborg.
Maybe 2021 will be a better year, and Helmuth Bar & Kitchen wants to make sure of that.
Although most people are reluctant to arrange anything because of Covid-19, the popular restaurant and cocktail bar announced that they will be repeating last year’s success with Aalborg’s largest Gin Festival.
In fact, it’s Nordjyllands largest festival and among the largest in the country overall.
Going all the way again
In the last few years, Helmuth has completely sold out of this event, which has been growing in size every year.
Starting on Helmuth’s premises, the event soon grew large enough to fill Odd Fellow Palæet, and at the beginning of 2020, they moved into Europahallen in Aalborg Kongres & Kultur Center (AKKC).
Now they’re going all the way again and like last year, they’ve booked Europahallen at AKKC.
The two-day event will be divided into five different periods to fill one of Aalborgs’ largest event-locations with gin from all over the world.
Of course, Helmuth will make sure to follow appropriate Covid-19 restrictions.
The dates are all set. It’ll take place Friday, February 12th, and Saturday, February 13th, in 2021.
Taste 70 different kinds of gin
At Aalborg Gin Festival 2021, you can try over 70 different gins and Fever-Tree Tonic products.
The ticket price will be 195 kr or more, depending on the day and time you choose and with a ticket, you’ll be able to try all the gin you want.
“Like last time, we will get many different kinds of gin.
There will be well-known gins but most definitely custom made gins as well. If you love gin, you got to come,” says Mathias Walter from Helmuth.
You can buy bottles of gin to bring home at a special festival price. You get your glass by the entrance, and after that, you can taste your way to your personal favorite.
A 15% discount for brunch at Helmuth Bar & Kitchen is included in the ticket price.
Even though the event is way bigger this time, note that the event usually sells out very quickly, so don’t wait too long.

Friday, February 12th: 19:30 – 22:30
Saturday, February 13th: 12:00 – 14:00
Saturday, February 13th: 15:00 – 17:30
