Aalborg’s most beautiful running route?: Run through Utzon, Musikkens Hus, and Aalborg Kloster
Aalborg’s arguably most stunning run is back.
This year, there’s a new route for the DAC Architecture Run Aalborg, so lace up your running shoes and explore the city’s beautiful architecture.
The run takes place on Sunday, September 3rd at 11:00.
You’ll experience the city in an entirely new way. You can choose between two routes of 5 and 10 km, both of which pass through selected streets, roads, passages, and past special buildings.
Run through a monastery, music house, and library
But the unconventional route also takes you in and out of buildings.
You’ll run through the Utzon Center, Musikkens Hus, Nordkraft, the Library, Aalborg Kloster, and the City Archive.
If you’ve participated in the run before, you can look forward to it. This year features new routes, and several buildings haven’t been part of the run previously.

- You can decide whether to walk or run 5 or 10 km.
- 1.5 hours are allocated for the 5 km route and 2.5 hours for the 10 km route.
- The run starts and finishes at the square in front of the Utzon Center. Slotspladsen 4, 9000 Aalborg.
- Light refreshments, including beverages, are included in the price after the run.
- T-shirts can be purchased until August 13th. If you want your name on your starting number, the registration deadline is August 26th.
- Online registration is possible until September 1st. Shortly before the run, DGI will send an email with details about collecting your starting number and T-shirt.

You can set your own pace, but the run is for everyone. There’s no timing, and it’s especially about companionship, exercise, and architecture experiences.
When you finish the route and reach the finish line, the organizer will be ready with something to eat, cold drinks, coffee with something sweet, and good music.
DAC Architecture Run in Aalborg is organized in partnership with the Danish Architecture Center, DGI North Jutland, and the Utzon Center.
The price starts at 175 kroner for adults.
