After significant challenges: Guld & Rod closes store in city center

It was supposed to be a new adventure.

Guld & Rod relocated their store from Stenbukken City Syd to Aalborg city center in the spring of 2023.

More precisely, they opened in Jens Bang’s Stone House.

But renting a spot in a historic building comes with many conditions, and those conditions have now become overwhelming for the owners, who are choosing to close their store.

On their Facebook page, the second-hand store writes that they will close on April 30, 2024.

“It has proven to be challenging to run a business in the protected premises. The conditions we were promised upon takeover, unfortunately, the landlord can no longer fulfill, making it impossible for us to continue operating in the otherwise lovely premises.

We would like to thank all of you for your support and loyalty over the years. It has been a pleasure serving you, and we greatly appreciate the cooperation we have had over the years,” they write.

Many vendors are choosing to offer discounts on their items due to the closure, so if you want to make a bargain, now is the time to go.

“Once again, thank you for your support, and we apologize for any inconvenience the closure may cause. We hope for your understanding,” Guld & Rod concludes.
