After a whole week of developing new concepts, 18 upcoming artists are ready to perform at the Mutation Week Festival 2021 in Aalborg.

The festival is a one-day cross-arts festival that takes place tomorrow, August 28, from 13:00 to 19:00 at Skudehavnsvej 30, and it’ll feature both theater, dance, sound arts, performance arts, visual arts, and music.

Aside from a lot of experimental art, you can look forward to chill hip-hop beats, electronic music, and bands that’ll be playing between performances.

The first 200 guests will furthermore be treated to a free meal (vegan pita or reindeer pita) served by Arctic Street Food.

Tickets for the whole shebang are only 50 kr and are available at the festival grounds or in pre-sale via www.mutationweek.dk.

New solutions to artistic challenges

The goal of the festival is to create room for new artistic performances and once a year, challenge and go beyond the limits of what is created in Aalborg.

The organizers write that they wish to get young artists to think in new ways and offer new solutions to artistic challenges.

Mutation Week is supported by Aalborg Municipality as a part of the cultural initiatives to kickstart upcoming culture after Covid-19.
