This is brilliant: New bar with arcade games opening soon in Jomfru Ane Gade

The bar and nightclub group REKOM is working on a new project in Jomfru Ane Gade.

On the first floor at Jomfru Ane Gade number 5 — that’s right above Sprutten and Andy’s — they are currently renovating the space for what will become the eighth REKOM-owned venue in Aalborg’s nightlife scene.

The new place will be called Barkaden, which, as the name suggests, is a blend of the words bar and arcade.

Because that’s exactly what they’ll offer.

Not a nightclub

With the new bar, Jomfru Ane Gade will get a bar universe in arcade format, where you can look forward to everything from classic arcade machines to opportunities to play PS5, pool, Wii, darts, foosball, and much more.

Barkaden will also focus on the earlier hours, before the night party really kicks in.

That’s why they open at 2 PM from Tuesday to Saturday and close by 2 AM at the latest. If you’re not done partying then, luckily there are other places in the street to continue the night.

The new bar’s grand opening is already on Thursday, June 12th at 6 PM — and there are plenty of exciting things to look forward to:

Big perks during opening week

Throughout the opening week, you can enjoy free play on all machines, and there will be free draft beer from 6 PM to 8 PM every day!

On Thursday, they host “Dice Thursday,” where if you roll a 6, Barkaden covers your entire bill. The only catch is you must have spent at least 100 kroner. How lucky are you feeling?

On Friday, doors open at 2 PM, and at 4 PM a big FIFA tournament kicks off.

You definitely want to stop by this day because the tournament prize is the ultimate — a PS5!

Saturday is all about chilling and playing games. Bring your friends and enjoy Barkaden’s cozy atmosphere along with the wide selection of games.
