Beer, hotdogs, and watersport: Join Aalborg Cable Park for the season start
Warmer days are just around the corner, indicating the start of the season for many of the city’s outdoor activities.
One of the sports starting again is watersports. However, you can’t say watersports in Aalborg without mentioning Aalborg Cable Park at Østre Havn.
The volunteer association offers wakeboarding, SUP board, and sauna. If you love water as much as they do, you should drop by the harbor on April 2 at noon where they’ll be celebrating the start of the season with free test rides, beer, soft drinks, hotdogs, music, and competitions where you can win AAPC merch.
“I encourage the people of Aalborg to come down and experience how cool watersports are.
Winter just finished, so there hasn’t been much activity down here, but now there are plenty of fun things going on, and our crew is ready to meet people,” C. William Jelstrup, CEO of Aalborg Cable Park, says.
New and easy to understand booking system
As a part of getting ready for a brand new season, the association has introduced a new booking system to make it even easier to try out the different activities.
The event on April 2nd is free to attend, but if you want to try it more than once, you’ll need to purchase a membership. The subscription covers one year of membership, after which you can buy other season passes, for example, for wakeboarding or SUP board.
With a membership, you get a lot.
You can borrow equipment in the park, use the showers and changing rooms, participate in events such as the club championship and and the Danish championship in wakeboarding. Additionally, you can join club day every Thursday, get weekly training (junior, women, and open training), club trips to other cable parks, and a 20% discount on wakeboard equipment at Surf and Ski Aalborg.
