All about the meat: Bogø opens new shawarma concept in Aalborg

Bogø is everywhere in North Jutland.

And now we at MigogAalborg can reveal where the 20th store in the chain will open.

Come 2026, Mario Mohammed El-Hajj will open a completely new type of Bogø store in Aalborg Storcenter.

Introducing: Bogø Shawarma.

“Our shawarma, made from 100% flank steak with our own secret marinade, is one of the products I am most proud of.

That’s why I’m really proud that we’re now opening a store completely dedicated to it,” Mario tells MigogAalborg.

Concept fits perfectly

It was by no means the plan for Mario to open yet another Bogø store.

But at a meeting with Aalborg Storcenter, the busy Bogø owner got an early Christmas gift he couldn’t refuse.

“I was actually just at a meeting with the mall to hear about their future plans, and there I got a tour of the center.

They were smart enough to show me a vacant 60-square-meter space, and I could immediately see that the shawarma concept would fit perfectly.”

Opening soon

Bogø Shawarma will take over the space currently housing Santa’s Workshop, with a sharp focus on shawarma.

“There’s probably sushi and sandwiches in the center, but what’s missing is a place where you can get a delicious shawarma, made from scratch with love,” says Mario.

At Bogø Shawarma, you can enjoy the delights in Greek pita, Turkish bread, or flatbread.

Additionally, there will be a selection of fries, soft drinks, and other snacks.

“We’ll start setting up the store in January, and we aim to open in mid-February.

I’m really excited. I’ve always dreamed of having a small shawarma bar focused on high quality, and now it’s finally happening,” says Mario.
