Aalborg diners are loving it: Brunch buffet takes off at Duus Vinkælder
It has now been over six months since Duus Vinkælder got a new owner after many years.
David Olsen stepped into the historic premises with great optimism and high ambitions – and many of them have already been realized.
One of the most popular initiatives is the weekly Sunday brunch, which has already drawn Aalborg residents to the historic setting.
Every Sunday from 10:30 am–1:30 pm, you can start the day with a brunch buffet that not only offers beautiful surroundings but also guarantees a full stomach.
For only DKK 198 per adult and DKK 99 for children under 12, the buffet includes everything from classic brunch favorites to delightful surprises.
The buffet features:
- Duus’ own Eggs Benedict
- Creamy scrambled eggs and soft-boiled eggs
- Brunch sausages from Rævhede and crispy bacon
- Salmon from Skagen Salmon
- Øllebrød, pancakes, and morning pastries
- A cheese board, fresh fruit, and yogurt with toppings
- Nutella, jams, and delicious bread
For an extra touch of luxury, you can add unlimited water, orange juice, and apple juice for just DKK 50 per person. There’s also the option to order specialty coffee and other beverages to create your perfect brunch experience.
Tradition and Innovation
Buffets in Jens Bangs Stenhus are by no means new. Previously, the focus was mainly on the popular Christmas buffet, which drew crowds during the winter season. Now, guests can enjoy the same experience every Sunday.
“We want to preserve the historic and cozy atmosphere while also offering something new,” says David Olsen, who took over Duus Vinkælder last year.
The Sunday brunch is one of many initiatives that show how tradition and innovation can go hand in hand.
