Build a new network: Join Spouse Space Program Fall 2024

by Michael Qureshi

International House North Denmark is excited to announce the launch of its Spouse Space Fall 2024 program.

This initiative is designed to support international spouses and partners living in North Denmark by helping them build networks, enhance their job search efforts, and integrate into the local community.

The Spouse Space program will run from September 18th to December 11th and includes a series of five events.

You will get to:

  • Hear from a Business Consultant from Business Aalborg

  • Get a CV photo taken by a professional photographer

  • Visit the company GomSpace and learn more about them

  • Prepare and practice your elevator pitch

  • Enjoy a trip to Biffen Nordkraft

  • Meet and socialize with other accompanying partners

  • Explore networking opportunities

…… and much more.

To maximise the program’s benefits, participants are required to attend at least four out of the five events.

Lots of networking

Spouse Space aims to create a supportive environment for accompanying spouses and partners by offering the following:

  • Networking Opportunities: Creating a network of like-minded individuals who are also navigating life in a new country. For instance, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with others in a similar situation in a cozy setting, enjoying a cup of coffee and cake together.

  • Job Search Assistance: Offering resources and guidance to assist spouses and partners in finding employment. You’ll receive advice from experts, participate in a company visit, and have the chance to get a professional CV photo taken at one of the events, along with practicing your elevator pitch.

  • Community Integration: Easing the integration into North Denmark’s social and professional circles. You’ll get a firsthand look at how things are done in Denmark, whether it’s watching a movie together at a cinema or experiencing what it’s like to work in a Danish company.

  • Shared Learning: Encouraging participants to share their experiences and help each other with daily challenges. You’ll have the opportunity to attend a Christmas lunch, where you can learn about Danish hygge and Christmas traditions.
