Seven-year run ends: Café closes in the city centre
When Café Min Olivia opened its doors on Vesterå in March 2019, the ambitions were high.
The new café offered everything from brunch buffets and dessert tapas to gourmet pizzas, cocktails, and a headline-grabbing 800-gram burger.
The owners described it as “Aalborg’s most beautiful café” following an extensive renovation of the premises.
Now, the journey has come to an end.
The company behind Café Min Olivia has entered bankruptcy proceedings, and the restaurant on Vesterå has closed its doors.
“For Rent” signs have recently been placed on the building’s facade.
Big Ambitions from the Beginning
The goal of the café was to create a welcoming venue for everyone—from students and families to retirees—and the menu featured a wide variety of options, including burgers, pasta, salads, brunch dishes, and sweet desserts.
According to the Danish Official Gazette (Statstidende), the company Min Olivia ApS was declared bankrupt by the Court in Aalborg on May 18, 2026.
As a result, Café Min Olivia on Vesterå is now part of history.
