Christmas glows: Experience 300 advent lights in Kildeparken

There is no longer any doubt: Christmas is here!

Many celebrated the first Advent Sunday with freshly baked peppernut cookies, decorating the table with wreaths and candles, and maybe took in a Christmas film at the movies.  

When you are out seeking some fresh air and a little exercise, consider visiting Budolfi Plads.  Starting at noon, brighten your day by passing through the magnificent display of Christmas lights.

But – if you prefer to wait until a brisk dark evening, we recommend you swing by Kildeparken.

300 Advent Candles to Light

In Kildeparken, decorations bedazzle the famous singing trees and reminds us that every time you press play on the tree you support vulnerable children by adding to the donations.

When the clock strikes 15:30, there is another good reason to visit the park. Every Sunday until Christmas, 300 traditional advent candles will be lit to create a dance of flickering lights and illuminate the park.  The traditional lights create a beautiful scene and nostalgic holiday joy.

Mark this coming Sunday in your calendars and go for a walk in Kildeparken.

The candles burn for approximately 3 hours, so plenty of time to enjoy the Christmas lights.
