Cocktail night in the sky: Aalborg favourites team up for Skybar
For the very first time, two of Aalborg’s most acclaimed cocktail bars are joining forces for one major shared event.
On Saturday, August 29, Gedulgt and Bar V will transform the 15th floor at the top of Comwell Hvide Hus into what may become Aalborg’s most spectacular Skybar experience ever.
And the ambition goes far beyond simply serving great cocktails.
The goal is to create an unforgettable evening for the city — and perhaps even a brand-new Aalborg tradition.
Guests can look forward to free-flow cocktails, DJs, lounge vibes, snacks, and drinks at the absolute highest level.
All of it set 15 floors above the city with panoramic views across Aalborg’s rooftops, the Limfjord, and the late summer skyline.
The event will host up to 250 guests, with tickets priced at DKK 595 — a remarkably sharp price considering the unlimited cocktail bar concept.
Tickets have just been released.
“We want to create an evening where the very best from our two worlds comes together.
We want to give people who truly love and appreciate cocktails an experience they rarely get the opportunity to have — at least not in Aalborg,” says Kasper Wøldike, Restaurant Manager at Comwell Hvide Hus.
Aalborg’s Ultimate Cocktail night
MigogAalborg was invited up to the 15th floor — a space normally reserved for conferences and private events with arguably the best view in the city — to hear more about the collaboration.
On August 29, the entire floor will be transformed into one massive cocktail playground overlooking Aalborg’s skyline.
The space will feature two separate bars, one at each end of the floor, while a DJ positioned in the middle creates a relaxed lounge atmosphere throughout the evening.
“We’re building two bars, placing the DJ in the center, adding lounge areas, standing tables, and snacks. Cocktails are completely in focus this evening,” says Kasper.
Each bar will bring six bartenders, and guests can expect signature cocktails, classic drinks, and exclusive creations developed specifically for the event.
“We personally want to host the evening and take care of the guests.
And if things get really busy, we’ll gladly jump behind the bar ourselves,” says Gedulgt partner Bastian Leander Andersen with a big smile.
Two Very Different Worlds
The evening is intended as a celebration of cocktails, craftsmanship, and Aalborg’s rapidly growing cocktail scene.
“If people enjoy it and the atmosphere is great, then of course we hope it can become a tradition.”
Two bars. Two completely different worlds. One evening.
In many ways, Gedulgt and Bar V could hardly be more different.
Gedulgt opened in the heart of Aalborg in 2023 and was met with explosive interest almost immediately.
The dark, intimate cocktail bar with its hidden entrance quickly became a hotspot for cocktail enthusiasts and has since won the “Best Cocktails in the City” award at the Aalborg Awards two years in a row.
Bar V at Comwell Hvide Hus has also previously won recognition at the Aalborg Awards.
But the atmosphere there is entirely different.
Instead of secrecy and darkness, Bar V offers a bright, open hotel bar environment that has helped change Aalborg residents’ perception of what a hotel bar can actually be.
“In Denmark, we don’t really have a tradition of going out to a hotel bar in our own city. But Bar V has genuinely helped change that perception.
I’d honestly go as far as saying it’s the best hotel bar in Denmark, and I feel like I’ve seen quite a lot by now,” says Bastian Leander Andersen.
A Perfect Contrast
The contrast between the two venues is exactly what inspired the collaboration.
“We have our dark, slightly secretive universe, while Kasper and his team can literally offer the feeling of being on top of the world. That contrast is what makes it fun,” Bastian explains.
The idea of collaborating has actually existed for quite some time.
“We’ve been talking about this since 2024.
Instead of seeing each other as competitors, we would rather elevate each other and raise the overall level of the city,” says Kasper Wøldike.
The ambition to showcase Aalborg’s cocktail scene is very clear.
According to the organizers, the city’s cocktail culture is currently evolving rapidly.
“More and more places in Aalborg are investing in quality cocktails. Venues are hiring skilled bartenders and creating stronger cocktail menus.
People love cocktails, and we want to do something positive for the city while creating an amazing event,” both organizers agree.
A Huge Amount of Preparation
The evening is therefore not only about drinks — it is about bringing together the industry, the guests, and the city around one shared experience.
“This can only become a fun and memorable night.”
Even though cocktails are often served within minutes, the work behind them begins long before guests ever receive a glass.
“We spend a huge amount of time preparing the best cocktails. The process usually starts weeks in advance.”
Behind many of the drinks are weeks of brainstorming, testing, failed experiments, and preparation.
“For every cocktail that makes it onto the menu, there are probably 99 others that never made it,” says Kasper Wøldike.
Some cocktails require up to 48 hours of preparation in small batches.
“Our ‘Not Your Ordinary Colada’ takes 48 hours just to prepare five liters,” Kasper explains about one of Bar V’s signature cocktails.
Want to Showcase the Craftsmanship
And that craftsmanship is exactly what the two bars want to highlight during the event.
“We want to showcase our staff and demonstrate what we are truly capable of,” adds Bastian.
Because cocktails are about much more than smoke effects and beautiful glasses.
“Signature cocktails are exciting, but we also want to be a place where you can get the classics made properly — Whisky Sour, Old Fashioned, and all the legendary classics.”
Both bars clearly feel the growing interest in cocktails across Aalborg.
Gedulgt has enjoyed massive support since opening, while Bar V has established itself as one of Denmark’s strongest hotel bars.
At the same time, the organizers believe Aalborg previously lacked venues that truly took cocktails seriously.
“At one point Aalborg got a little stuck. The quality simply wasn’t sharp enough. Now we’re moving closer together and giving something genuinely good back to the city.”
And that is exactly why they believe Aalborg is ready for more.

“We really hope people welcome this event enthusiastically. Hopefully tickets sell quickly and people show that they want experiences like this.
Then we’ll definitely do our part to make it an annual tradition,” they say almost in unison.
