Crazy opening offers: Popular retail chain now opens a huge store
Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. will be a big day in Nørresundby, in the area many have dubbed “City Nord”.
Right next to its sister store, Harald Nyborg at Bouet, the popular discount chain Hi Five is opening the doors to a brand-new store of nearly 1,300 square meters.
A festive opening day is planned, featuring a DJ, opening offers, and a hot dog stand later in the afternoon.
With its approximately 1,300 square meters and up to 8,000 product lines, the store will be a true mecca for North Jutlanders who love exploring fun, quirky, and inexpensive items.
“These are selected products at sharp prices. It’s a kind of universe with lots of fun things. Completely ordinary products, but also brands you don’t necessarily encounter elsewhere,” says store manager Kim Andersen.
Hi Five already has stores in, among other places, Aars and Hjørring, but now it’s time for the Aalborg area.

A wide selection for both young and old
The assortment is broad – ranging from makeup and accessories to kitchenware, cleaning products, hobby items, toys, and party supplies.
“We appeal to both young and old. Young people can find cheap makeup and fun items, and we also have kitchen, household, and cleaning products for Mr. and Mrs. Denmark. We really cover a wide range,” says Kim Andersen.
The common denominator is low prices and an assortment that is constantly renewed.
“We want to find some fun and slightly quirky items, while also offering standard products that people know – just often in brands you don’t normally see. And we keep prices low.”

A store meant to be an experience
At Hi Five, it’s not just about shopping. It should also be fun to explore the aisles.
The chain itself describes the concept as a place where low prices meet high spirits, and where the assortment is constantly changing with surplus stock, good deals, and products with a story.
A store where you almost always leave with something in your hand – even if you hadn’t planned to.
Festive opening day on Friday
The opening will be celebrated on Friday with music from a DJ, lots of great offers – and later in the day, a hot dog stand will also be set up for visitors.
“You’re more than welcome to stop by. We’re really looking forward to welcoming North Jutlanders,” says the store manager.
Hi Five in Nørresundby opens for the first time on Friday, January 30, at 8:00 a.m. and will remain open until 8:00 p.m. on opening day.
After that, opening hours will be: weekdays 9:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., weekends 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
