Crazy roast pork burger at this year’s Christmas market

This year’s Christmas Market opened in Aalborg city center last Friday and is – as usual – wildly popular.

Several new and exciting stands have made the cut. The stands can be found on Gammeltorv in the center of Aalborg, surrounded by a magical winter wonderland.

One that is new and exciting is called “Den Muntre Gris”(The Pied Pig), and they’re serving up a classic “Flæskestegsburger” (a roast pork burger with homemade pickled red cabbage, pickles, and dressing).

But if that isn’t enough, there are more news.

Churros stand

You will find a Churros stand by the entrance to the Christmas Market on Gammeltorv as well as on Nytorv.

Of course, you can buy delicious crispy churros with different toppings – such as Nutella, cinnamon sugar, icing sugar, strawberries, chocolate, caramel, and softice.

You can also get candyfloss, caramelized almonds, hot chocolate, coffee, and softice.

The Pancake Booth 

The Pancake booth, also known as “Pandekageboden,” will be placed by the middle staircase on Gammeltorv.

At The Pancake Booth, you can buy giant homemade pancakes that satisfy all kinds of hunger.

The fresh and hot pancakes are also offered as food pancakes, paired with either kebab or chicken and fresh vegetables.

And if you have a sweet tooth, fear not, because whether you prefer an original with sugar and jam or a pancake with ice cream and Nutella, there’s something for you.
