Denmark’s largest: Aalborg Wine Festival finally returns

After two years of cancellations due to corona, there is more and more good news popping up all around. 

This time the pop goes together with bubbles and wine. 

Friday, October 7th, and Saturday, October 8th, you can experience the Aalborg Wine and Bubble Festival in Europahallen at Aalborg Congress and Culture Center. 

There are still tickets available for Friday and Saturday.

The organizers aim to make this Denmark’s largest wine festival – in a completely new way.

“We moved to a larger and better location by arranging the event at Aalborg Congress and Culture Center.

The list of exhibitors is massive. We are now up to 30 exhibitors; 17 are new and have not participated before – so this is big,” Verner Thomsen, one of the arrangers behind the event, explains.

Great wines from Denmark

During the Wine Festival you’ll be able to taste wine from France, Spain, Italy, Canada, Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovakia, the US, Australia, and New Zealand.

And as something new in 2022, you can also try great wines from Denmark.

There’s more than 300 different wines and bubbles so there’s definitely something for every taste.

Many have already purchased tickets and the two brothers can report that three tastings have already sold out.

“When we open the doors on Friday and Saturday in October it will be to Denmark’s largest wine festival and that is in Aalborg on top of things. It will be festive, cozy and a huge experience,” organizer Brian Thomsen says.

Europahallen will host 24 exhibits featuring some of the most enjoyable wines in one place. The Foyer will host 12 exhibitors with a wide variety of Champagne, Cava, and sparkling wines from around the globe.

”Our guests receive a fantastic wine glass, a taste-guide catalog with a good overview of variety and exhibitors, and a wine bag that can hold six bottles of wine or bubbles. 

If our guests fill up their bag, we top it off with a bonus bottle of festival wine from Adelino,” Verner and Brian concludes.
