Monday morning there was only one thing on people’s lips following the Oscar show, and sadly that has taken focus away from the many well-deserved winners.

One of these is the Japanese drama Drive My Car by Ryûsuke Hamaguchi that was nominated for four Oscars, and which took home the price for Best International Feature Film.

If you haven’t had a chance to watch it yet, you’ll get the chance on Friday, April 1, when Biffen Nordkraft hosts a screening at 19:00 with English subtitles.

The movie stars Hidetoshi Nishijima and Tôko Miura among others, and centers around the following plot:

“A renowned stage actor and director learns to cope with his wife’s unexpected passing when he receives an offer to direct a production of Uncle Vanya in Hiroshima.” (IMDB)
