Eat for 199 kr. the rest of the week: Sushi ad-libitum restaurant now open
Yesterday was the opening of the new Roku Izakaya at Adelgade 12, where restaurant Pingvin used to be located.
The people behind Catch Sushibar are opening another restaurant, and here too, there is sushi ad libitum on the menu.
The celebration takes place in the restaurant’s first opening week, where you can taste the dishes for only 199 kr. The offer is valid for both lunch and dinner.
Long waiting lists at Catch
Just like at Catch, it is expected that the offer of sushi ad-libitum will become popular. And they are certainly not afraid to compete with themselves.
“We have so many on the waiting list at Catch that we are not afraid to compete against ourselves.
Last Friday, we had 78 who had actively signed up on our online waiting list.
And we don’t know the number of those who have been turned away and found something else,” one of the owners tells MigogAalborg.
The quality and selection of sushi will also be the same.
At Roku, there will be a different selection of rolls, and the large kitchen suggests that there will be experimentation and further expansion over time.
Ready with new initiatives
But besides that, they also offer several different concepts at the new restaurant.
Among other things, they will serve more hot dishes – including the popular Izakaya dishes, which are delicious dishes traditionally eaten in Japan while enjoying exquisite cocktails.
Roku Sushi Bar will have a larger kitchen than Catch, so they will also expand the selection of sushi with exciting additions to the already popular rolls.
The well-known premises at C.W. Obels Plads look somewhat different than when Pingvin was in residence.
A completely new cocktail bar has been built, an extension of the kitchen – and the interior has received a modern lift with new colors, woven lamps, and dark panels.
