Enjoy gastronomical treats at home: Here’s where you can find gourmet takeaway in Aalborg
We can’t be the only ones that miss visiting Aalborg’s many fantastic restaurants, which make light work of pampering the senses and creating the perfect cozy lunch date or fantastic dinner.
Until we’re allowed to meet and greet each other again in the city’s many dining destinations, we’ll have to settle for a little bite of the atmosphere and taste at home.
Many of the restaurants that usually serve fabulous dishes on their premises have (thankfully) chosen to conjure up appetizing takeaway treats that are far from greasy semi-cold pizzas or tired-looking burgers with soggy french fries.
We have put together a list of the restaurants making gourmet lockdown takeaway.

Bistro Dejavu and Applaus
Bistro Dejavu and Applaus have, under the name Bistrolux takeaway, put their focus on french classics and delicious specialties that you can enjoy at home.
You can order everything from fried oysters with tartar sauce and grilled lemon to the classic beef tartar, french toast, carpaccio, fried foie gras, and much more.
They recommend that you order two dishes and a serve of fries per person (three dishes if you’re really starving).
You just need to order before 16:00 on the day that you want to enjoy the food and pickup the food from Applaus.

Musikkens Spisehus
Friday is often a big takeaway day for many but you don’t necessarily have to choose the classic pizza or burger.
Musikkens Spisehus dedicate Friday to Gourmet Takeaway where you can get three courses for 349kr (min. 2 servings).
There’s a new and exciting menu every Friday, and this week, you can look forward to a starter of scallops, dry-aged beef as the main dish, and a fluffy mousse for dessert.
They are often sold out ahead of time so make sure you’re quick.
You need to order before Thursday at 12:00 either via restaurant@musikkensspisehus.dk or by calling 6020 3199.

Rositas
Rositas has perfectly adapted to the lockdown by offering delicious meals available to pick up every day between 16:00 and 19:00.
You can choose from delightful French favorites – with everything from scallop soup to pork cheek, coq au vin, veal tenderloin, chocolate mousse, and much much more.
All hot dishes are simple to reheat and portion. You can also buy paired wine.
There are limited quantities each day so everything needs to be pre-ordered. You can order by calling Johan on 5250 9752.

La Bottega
Carlo & co. are well known for delivering authentic and exquisite Italian cuisine.
At this special time, you can have the pleasure of enjoying their classic antipasti and pasta in the comfort of your own home.
On top of that, you also have the possibility of ordering cheese platters and their popular weekend menu.

Bistro59
While they are closed for dine-in guests, the cozy Bistro59 is open for takeaway on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
“You can take a little bistro home to your own dining room. Play a little jazz, open a bottle of Bourgogne and talk with a french accent the whole evening. It’s almost like being here in person”, they write about the initiative.
They also have chilled wine that you can take home with you.
They bring out a new menu every week and there is a limited number of menus available. Last week, you could purchase a menu for 300kr per person where you could sink your teeth into crab hotdogs, free-range pork confit, and Èclairs with mocha-walnut cream.

Restaurant Fusion
If you feel the need for gourmet sushi in Aalborg then you have to try Restaurant Fusion – they’ve really got a handle on this hyped dish.
You can “pick&mix”, as most are familiar with, or you can choose delicious special menus where you can get different combinations of, for example, delicious beef with your fresh sushi.

Mortens Kro
Mortens Kro is synonymous with gourmet here in Aalborg and their takeaway is also one of the best in town.
You can choose between individual dishes on the menu, or let yourself indulge in a three, four, or even five-course menus put together by the highly competent people in the kitchen.

Nam and Menendez
Sister restaurants Nam and Menendez have joined forces to make delicious takeaway for the Aalborg people under the lockdown.
You can choose between a “Little Nam” and a “Big Nam” where you can get acquainted with a heap of exquisite small dishes to satisfy all the senses.

Restaurant San Giovanni
San Giovanni has, for decades, delivered tasty Italian dishes – both in house and as takeaway.
Like always, you have the possibility to order diverse antipasti, pasta, and pizzas.
But beyond that, you can also choose dishes like beef tenderloin, grilled lamb, and risotto. They also have a selection of children’s meals and exquisite desserts to choose from.
