Expect queues: Major roadwork starts on Hobrovej today

Today, February 14th, the public utility Aalborg Forsyning will start separating the sewer system on Hobrovej out by the mall City Syd.

Naturally, one can expect that this significant undertaking will influence traffic. Aalborg Municipality has shared more details about the road work.

The work will begin at the intersection Hobrovej/Nibevej and move in steps in a northerly direction towards Stationsmestervej.

While at the intersection of Hobrovej/Nibevej, the traffic on Nibevej between Hobrovej and Letvadvej will be streamlined in the western direction.

This means left turns from Hobrovej onto Nibevej will not be permitted while work is ongoing at the intersection of Hobrovej/Nibevej.

Right turns from Hobrovej onto Nibevej will still be possible.

Throughout April additional road work will expand and rebuild the East-West section of Hobrovej on the stretch from Ny Nibevej to Egnsplanvej.

The two projects from Hobrovej are coordinated, but queues may arise in the sections.

“On the positive side, we are looking forward to seeing much better traffic flow on the other side of the roadwork,” the municipality states.
