Female pedestrian killed in accident: The police is now looking for witnesses

Earlier we reported that a serious traffic accident had occurred in the intersection by Østerbro/Karolinelundsvej.

The accident happened around 9 o’clock this morning when a female pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a truck in a right-turn accident.

The pedestrian has now been confirmed as a 89 year old woman who has unfortunately passed away.

Her next-of-kin have been been informed.

The North Jutland Police informs that the truck driver is a German citizen and has been arrested, charged with manslaughter.

He is expected to be released after the case has been processed, the superintendent says.

The police is now looking for witnesses who might have seen the accident. If you have any information you can call the police at 114.
