Festival ready for launch: The “whole world” is coming to Aalborg

Saturday, June 14, from 11 AM to 5 PM, Kildeparken will, for the third year in a row, host the World Festival – welcoming people of all ages.
This is a truly unique festival where you can travel around the world in a single day – and it’s completely free.
Aalborg Municipality promises something for all the senses:
Beautiful colors and eye-catching details, delicious free samples of traditional dishes, and exciting music and dance performances from every corner of the world.
Promoting dialogue
The goal of the World Festival is to share culture and promote dialogue and mutual understanding.
Aalborg’s City Councillor for Employment and Welfare, Nuuradiin S. Hussein, will give the opening speech.
He explains:
In a world full of division, it’s powerful that we in Aalborg Municipality can, for the third time, hold the World Festival.
I’m delighted we can celebrate the richness of diverse cultures together, bring people closer, and create a space for greater understanding across ethnic backgrounds.”
Medo Huremovic, a volunteer organizer from Bosnia-Herzegovina, adds:
¨The World Festival gives us an opportunity to build bridges between each other – the more we know about each other’s culture.”
