Part of a major renovation: Now you need to find a new way to Gigantium

From Monday, April 28, drivers will need to find a new route if they’re heading to or from Gigantium in Aalborg.
The Danish Road Directorate is closing direct access from Einsteins Boulevard to Universitetsboulevarden.
Detours and One-Way Traffic
As part of the major renovation of the roundabouts on Universitetsboulevarden – between Hadsundvej and Selma Lagerløfs Vej – Einsteins Boulevard will be temporarily converted into a one-way street.
This means traffic will only be able to move toward Willys Brands Vej and no longer out to Universitetsboulevarden.
The change will take effect on April 28 and will remain in place until the fall of 2025. With large events at Gigantium already attracting lots of cars, this could quickly lead to congestion and longer travel times.

Recommended Alternative Routes
The Road Directorate suggests the following:
- Via Linus Paulings Vej and Niels Bohrs Vej – particularly relevant for those heading north or toward the city center.
- Via Alfred Nobels Vej – if you’re going south.
Follow the posted signs and plan ahead – especially during major events.
