Real christmas coziness: Fjordbyen Christmas market returns
It doesn’t get much cozier than Fjordbyen.
And the coziness gets an extra boost at the end of November.
That’s when the scent of pine, mulled wine, and roasted almonds will once again fill the air as Fjordbyen’s Christmas Market spreads out around Kulturen in the heart of Aalborg Vestby.
On Saturday, November 29 from 10:00 a.m., Aalborg residents can once again explore a festive Christmas atmosphere filled with stalls, music, and children’s laughter – just like the popular Fjordbyen flea market in August.
The market square will be packed with everything a Christmas heart could desire: mead, schnapps, honey, soup and bread, popcorn, roasted almonds, mulled wine, æbleskiver, cocoa, and Christmas trees.
There will also be stalls with handmade decorations, wreaths, ornaments, Icelandic knitwear, salves, tinctures, bath salts, salt scrubs, and other unique creations.
Santa Claus will stop by
From 12:00 to 14:00, children can look forward to a visit from Santa Claus, who will hand out treats and spread holiday cheer through the streets.
Throughout the day, visitors can also enjoy lively street performances by Odder Von Clodder with Tordenskjold & the Brave Birds, who will keep spirits high with a folksy repertoire of their own compositions.
As something special, the market is open to anyone who wishes to set up a stall around Kulturen – just like at the flea market.
You simply need to make an arrangement with the property owner, respect fire lanes, and clean up afterward.
Stalls can be set up between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. and must be packed up by 5:00 p.m.
