Children and shopping are two things that rarely result in a peaceful adventure.

Patience can quickly run out – so then what do you do?

If your shopping trip brings you to City Syd, then we have a fun and relaxing suggestion. The shopping center has opened a new playground which is completely free to use.

You can find the playground right next to Partyland inside Shoppen itself, and it is open on weekdays from 10:00 to 19:00 and on weekends from 10:00 to 16:00.

For children of all ages

“We want to create something extra for families with children, so we are really happy that we can now open our doors to Shoppen’s playground.

We have divided the play area so there is a place for very young babies, something for children who want to climb, slide, and jump in the ball pit, and to satisfy creative minds we also have our LEGO area and creative tables where kids can sit, build and invent,” center manager Natascha Frost Kjelds says.

In addition to having fun in the large climbing playground, riding Super Mario cars, playing in the ball pit, and much more, there will be creative workshops during the summer, which are also completely free.

“At these workshops, children can paint on mugs, make bead necklaces, create bead pictures and designs, headbands, and much more.

We will have a theme for each workshop, and in collaboration with Nordisk Film Biografer, we will also draw inspiration from some of their children’s and family films, just like we did with the Super Mario movie, which has its own dedicated area in the playground with lots of fun and play,” the center manager shares.

In addition to the new playground, Shoppen has also set up a brand-new baby lounge on the first floor. Here, mothers and fathers can find peace and quiet to breastfeed, warm bottles, change diapers, and relax in comfortable lounge furniture.

Activities in the playground include:

  • Super Mario cars
  • LEGO – both Duplo and regular bricks
  • Climbing playground
  • A Play Kitchen
  • Ball pit
  • Drawing and coloring
  • Large baby area
  • And much more!
