From radio hosts to tv celebs: Aalborg stars face off in icehockey for charity
On Sunday, February 23rd, the action kicks off at Gigantium on the ice.
Skovmand Slayers vs Ostergaard Outlaws.
No, the Metal Ligaen hasn’t been taken over by two crazy wealthy men who’ve formed their own massive teams.
This is, however, a Celebrity Hockey match that could very well go down in North Jutland sports history.
It’s the famous radio host Niels Skovmand who is challenging former TV host Lisbeth Østergaard to a duel for bragging rights and a donation to a charitable cause.
The two team captains are each gathering a team made up of local celebrities from the entertainment industry, sports, business, and politics.
The teams have already been announced, and you can look forward to seeing Team Skovmand Slayers with, among others, Thomas Augustinussen, Anders Wortmann, and Chairman Finn from Kolonihaven.
Team Østergaard Outlaws will feature, among others, Mayor Lasse Friman, Zjakalen, and none other than Thomas Enevoldsen from MigogAalborg.
The teams are
Team Skovmand Slayers
Niels Skovmand, Camilla Gammelgaard, Anders Wortmann, Emil Kondrup, Thomas Augustinussen, HEDEGAARD, Jaxstyle, Torben Keller, Formand Finn og Rasmus Haugaard
Team Østergaard Outlaws
Lisbeth Østergaard, Lasse Frimand, Mads Peter Veiby, Jeanett Kaare, Thomas Enevoldsen, Zjakalen, Morten Grabowski, Christinna Pedersen, Lærke Winther Møller og deres fysiske træner Stine Rex
The Rules The rules are mostly comparable to a local festival game, where anything can happen.
The Celebrity Hockey match is divided into three phases, earning points before, during, and after the ice hockey game.
Teams can earn points for selling the most tickets before the match, for winning the actual ice hockey game, and for selling their jerseys after the match at the jersey auction.
Once the overall winner is determined, the winning team will donate 25,000 DKK to a charitable cause.
When purchasing your ticket, you choose which team you support, and your ticket will count towards the overall ticket sales competition between the two teams.
You can also watch a real hockey game… You won’t just be watching the North Jutland celebrities on ice.
On Sunday, February 23rd, Aalborg Pirates will play away against Herlev Eagles. The game will be shown on the big screen in the arena at 1:30 PM.
