Named Denmark’s best: Guf & Kugler reopens this Friday

Guf & Kugler is ready to open its doors again, and at 12:00 the first scoops of ice cream of the year will be served in the new premises, which received a warm (or ice-cold?) welcome from the people of Aalborg last year.
After a winter filled with trade fairs, inspiration trips, and hardcore recovery, the team is back with what they call “the same good old Guf & Kugler – just with renewed energy.”

Danish Dubai ice cream and “Sun over the Limfjord”
In true Guf & Kugler style, they’ve spent the break geeking out over new flavors rather than chasing every trend.
Still, it’s hard to completely ignore the so-called “Dubai ice cream,” which has been all over social media for quite some time.
And although they deliberately stayed out of the hype race, the temptation was too strong not to create their own version.
However, don’t expect pistachio and classic kadaif like the versions seen on Instagram and TikTok.
Instead, Guf & Kugler has created a more locally inspired version:
A decadent combination of raspberry truffle, crunchy kadaif, and a generous layer of white chocolate on top.
Jeppe Korsholm Mikkelsen, the owner, affectionately calls it “Danish Dubai” – a small tribute to the colors of the Danish flag, wrapped in something they describe as “deliciously over-the-top in the best way.”

Sweet, crunchy, and with a touch of national pride.
While “Danish Dubai” plays with the Danish flag colors, another new creation brings thoughts straight to the Limfjord.
It’s called “Sun over the Limfjord,” and that’s almost all we need to say for now – except that it’s fresh, fruity, and made so that as many people as possible can enjoy it.
The rest, people will have to come and taste for themselves.
Lots of new things on the way
Even though the calendar still says low season, coziness has been carefully built into the reopening.
They are turning up the atmosphere indoors, so guests can sit down with a cup of coffee and a sweet ice cream treat instead of just grabbing a cone on the go.
“We’re so happy about these new premises because they give us better opportunities to invite people inside.
Now you can enjoy a cold ice cream in all kinds of weather,” Jeppe emphasizes.

Among other things, this year they have chosen to meet the demand for tasting multiple flavors.
“It will be in the form of a spring platter, where you can choose many different varieties – and get a nice cup of coffee with it,” Jeppe reveals.
There are, as always, plenty of good reasons to visit Guf & Kugler starting this Friday – and Jeppe and the team are excited to get going again.
“We’ve been looking forward to coming back and treating ice cream lovers and everyone who supports us,” says Jeppe, who, together with the rest of the ice cream team, will soon once again have queues winding through the pedestrian street.
In March, they are open every day from 12:00 to 20:00 and Sundays from 12:00 to 17:00.
