Hearts under control: Aalborg University Hospital secures top ranking in survey
Dagens Medicin, an independent media outlet about the Danish healthcare, has recently named the country’s best hospitals in various cardiovascular treatments.
Aalborg University Hospital claims the top spot for the third consecutive year in performing coronary angiographies, also known as X-ray examinations of the coronary arteries.
With a score of 95 out of 100, the hospital achieves a second-place ranking in the overall cardiovascular domain.
“This is a testament to the overall high quality in Aalborg. In my conviction, it is the result of a collaborative effort from all involved departments and professional groups,” Dr. Martin Kirk Christensen, Chief Physician in the Department of Cardiology, says.
Dagens Medicin’s assessment is based on reported quality data, and with a closely contested race among hospitals, the conclusion is that the treatment quality in cardiovascular care nationwide is very high.
