Goodbye to Boulevarden: Helmut is now closed before moving into Gaden
After 11 years on Boulevarden, Helmut is about to begin a new chapter – but not before a proper send-off weekend.
Helmut hosted its final opening weekend at its current location in the weekend.
The popular eatery and nightclub invited guests for one last round of brunch, dinner, and cocktails in the familiar setting before moving to Jomfru Ane Gade.
“We’re going all out”
Co-owner Mathias Walther admits it’s was an emotional weekend.
“It’s definitely bittersweet, but we’re at peace with it because we’re opening something even better. We’ve had 11 fantastic years here, and we’re excited to carry all the good things with us,” he says.
On Friday, May 16, Helmut will open in brand-new surroundings in Jomfru Ane Gade – specifically in the legendary venue formerly home to Saltlageret.
And it’s more than just a move. It’s a full renovation and a bold new concept aimed at delivering a whole new experience in Gaden.
“We’ve really cracked the code with the new space. It’s going to be something entirely different. A fresh start – but with everything people know and love about Helmut. And we promise, there’s a lot of passion and love being poured into this,” says Mathias Walther.
