First in Denmark: Well-known hotel chain opens in Aalborg

DanCenter, which most people know for holiday homes across the Nordic region, is now seriously entering the hotel market.
And the first Danish hotel is opening right here in the city: DanCenter Hotel Jomfru Ane in the heart of Aalborg.
The hotel is located in the iconic Jomfru Ane Gade, where guests step directly out into cafés, restaurants, bars, and city life, while also being within walking distance of the waterfront, shopping, and cultural attractions.
The opening in Aalborg is the first in a series of planned hotel openings in Denmark, with several already in the pipeline for the coming year.
First hotel in Denmark
The hotel is operated under a long-term management agreement designed to ensure consistency in operations, design, and guest experience.
“With DanCenter and the PRISM network behind us, we can combine local Aalborg hospitality with the strength of an international platform.
We are proud to be the first hotel in Denmark to open under this new portfolio, and we look forward to offering both locals and visitors a modern and technology-driven hotel experience in the city,” say Christian Abildgaard and René Sørensen, owners of DanCenter Hotel Jomfru Ane.

DanCenter is already a strong name in holiday rentals in the Nordic region, and the move into hotels is the next step in a broader European strategy.
The ambition is to build a strong and sustainable hotel portfolio in Europe under brands such as DanCenter, Belvilla, SUNDAY, and Palette, with a particular focus on markets like Germany, Belgium, and Denmark.
More new hotels on the way in Germany and Belgium
Internationally, the group is already well underway.
In Germany, three hotels have recently opened: Sunday Hotel Schwarzbachtal Hideaway in Saxony, Bernsteinsee Hotel and Ferien by Palette Resorts in Sassenburg, and Belvilla Kaiserhof Feldberg in Baden-Württemberg.
In Belgium, the group has opened its first hotel, Belvilla Au Coeur d’Alle, in the scenic town of Alle.
