Long-table dinner and family fun: IKEA Aalborg invites you to a September full of events
Autumn is knocking at the door, and IKEA Aalborg is ready with a series of experiences that put community, food joy, and togetherness at the center.
Throughout September, both kids and adults can look forward to cozy activities, creative events, and tasty moments in the store.
It all kicks off on Saturday, September 13th, when IKEA Aalborg invites everyone to a cozy long-table dinner right in the middle of the restaurant.
Long-table dinner in the heart of the store
On September 13th, one long communal table will be set in IKEA Aalborg’s restaurant, inviting customers to enjoy a meal together with family, friends, and even new acquaintances.
The event requires registration and is open to everyone who wants to be part of the community.
“The long-table dinner is a gathering point in the store where customers can enjoy a good meal together.
In the middle of furniture shopping, we want to give customers the chance to take a break from everyday life, enjoy a meal, and become part of our local community,” says Marie Bach, Commercial Activity Leader at IKEA Aalborg.
Guests can choose between three seatings, with dishes selected from the IKEA Food range:
- Brunch: 9:30 – 11:00
- Swedish fika: 14:00 – 16:00
- Dinner: 17:00 – 18:30
Registration takes place via IKEA Family.
Activities for the whole family in weeks 37–39
The long-table dinner marks the start of a whole series of activities in weeks 37 to 39, where IKEA Aalborg will host free experiences and creative events for the entire family.
Decorate your own tea towel
Every Saturday and Sunday from 12:00–16:00, kids and creative souls can design their own tea towel in the kitchen department.
Bake and decorate your own cinnamon roll
The little ones can decorate their own cinnamon rolls and meet the bear FABLER BJÖRN, who shows up in an apron and chef’s hat.
“We believe children’s interest in cooking can grow through creativity and play. That’s why we’ve planned activities where the youngest can participate in the kitchen in their own way and take great memories home,” says Marie Bach.
Free interior consultation
Customers can book a free consultation with IKEA Aalborg’s decorators throughout the entire period. Upon booking, they receive a DKK 50 gift card.
Registration opens on August 25th.
Treasure hunt in the store
All September long, families can go on a treasure hunt in the store and find hidden clues across departments.
Tastings on weekends
Every Saturday and Sunday, IKEA Food offers free tastings in the store, giving customers a chance to try small bites from the assortment.
