In well-known premises: Robot-operated sushi restaurant opening in Aalborg

The future is coming to Aalborg.

In Copenhagen, robot servers have long been making their presence felt, and now they’re rolling into our city.

At the address Østerbro 3a, where King’s Running Sushi & Buffet used to be housed, a new sushi restaurant is opening its doors.

The name is Yumi, and the concept comes from Copenhagen. Here, the owner Conny has had a sushi restaurant since 2020 with rolling (and very cute) robot servers.

“We believe that there is a need for a family restaurant in Aalborg, where children can also come and where there is a wide selection of food.

Of course, you can get sushi, but we will also offer appetizers, hot deluxe dishes, and desserts, all ad libitum,” Conny explains.

Opens in the summer

It is Nordicals who rent out the large premises for the new sushi restaurant.

When asked when he expects to open, Conny replies that it will be in the summer.

“Perhaps in June or July,” he adds.

Thus, there is a bit of waiting time to experience the service with the robot and to taste the food, but the owner emphasizes that there will be room for everyone – even those who do not like sushi.

“There will be something for everyone,” he asserts.
