Known for delicious cake and bread: Popular café opens in art-friendly location
One year ago, Git Becker opened the bakery and winery På Fjorden in Boshop’s beautiful premises on Nytorv. Since then the new shop and owners have not looked back.
The people of Aalborg have really taken to baked goods, which also are available in a small shop on the ground floor of Østerågade and at Grønttorvet on Frederikstorv.
Recently, they opened yet another café.
A 200 m2 café in Spritten
På Fjorden rolled out the red carpets for their grand opening of the new café. The new café, similar to the one in BoShop, is using a new and exciting concept.
The new café concept has a lot to do with the location near North Urban Art Studio, a community workshop studio of approx. 1200 m2.
The North Urban Art Studio and the new På Fjorden café are calling out to all young students, especially those with an interest and passion in art.
På Fjorden is a literal name for the location of the café and is only a stone’s throw away from the Limfjord. The location is commonly known as Spritten and is at Akvavitvej 23.
“We were permitted to open the café in a large area near the entrance,” owner Git Becker to MyAalborg says.
“North Urban Art Studio is a workshop with a chill atmosphere which we are eager to join. The creative environment is informal, free, and full of character, and we aim to complement this atmosphere.”
Sink your teeth into it
At På Fjorden there will be bake sales where you can buy all sorts of treats. There is also coffee, delicious sandwiches, soup and eventually glasses of chilled wine.
You can enjoy as many baked treats as you like while doing homework, relaxing or having a business meeting.
På Fjorden’s plan is to be open from Tuesdays to Fridays from 08:00 – 17:30 and Saturday from 8:00-15:00.
