Are you an early bird?: The Limfjord Bridge is being closed again
If you plan to drive at night at the beginning of next month, you will have to go through the Limfjord Tunnel.
The Limfjord Bridge will be completely closed for three consecutive nights.
On Monday, March 31st, Tuesday, April 1st, and Wednesday, April 2nd, the bridge will be fully closed from 12:05 AM to 5:15 AM.
This is stated on signs placed on Vesterbro.
However, it will be possible to cross the bridge for ten minutes at 2:00 AM.
The reason for the closure is not mentioned on the sign, but when the bridge is closed at night, it is usually for maintenance. The bridge operator has previously told MigogAalborg that they close it at night to cause as little disruption as possible.
The Limfjord Bridge has undergone major renovations over the past few years, which will hopefully ensure that the “old lady” can continue to serve as the connection between Nørresundby and Aalborg for many years to come.
