The International House North Denmark has created a list of Christmas events and things to do around the region.

Aalbæk, Christmas Market
What: One of North Jutland’s biggest outside Christmas markets
When: Open from Friday, December 9th, to Sunday, December 11th. Friday: 14:00-18:00. Saturday & Sunday 11:00-18:00

Børglum Abbey, Christmas Market
What: The Christmas market is the biggest event of the year with many locals participating Christmas booths in arts, crafts, decorations and delicacies
When: Open from Saturday, December 10th, to Sunday, December 11th. Saturday & Sunday 10:00-16:00. Also on the 29th of December, 16:00-20:00
Where: Børglum Klostervej 255, 9760 Vrå
Kildeparken, the singing Christmas trees
What: Press the button on one of the 60 trees in Kildeparken to play cozy Christmas music
When: Can be experienced daily in the month of December. On Sunday the 11th and 18th of December from 15:30 you can furthermore experience more than 250 candles be lit
Where: Kildeparken, 9000 Aalborg
Budolfi Church, Nine Lessons and Carols – International Christmas vibes
What: There will be music, singing, light shows and readings when the rectors from AAU and UCN together with international and Danish students will form the framework for Nine Lessons & Carols 2022

Christmas “hygge” with I-Life
What: Free Christmas arts and craft event with “æbleskiver” (a real danish Christmas treat) and Christmas cookies

Hirtshals, International Christmas meeting
What: International Christmas meeting for all expats or foreigners and their families in Hjørring municipality

Dorf Møllegård, Christmas at the old mill farm
What: The museum hosts an authentic Danish Christmas like in the old days

The Rebild Center, Festival of lights
What: Lucia procession and magical tricks in nature

What: Christmas market with lots of activities for children and adults

Løgstør, Santa arrives by boat
What: Santa and all his Christmas elves arrive by boat in the world’s oldest Christmas ship show

Aalborg International Friends, Christmas Celebration
What: Christmas service, songs, stories, and food
When: Sunday, December 25th, 16:00

Blokhus Sculpture Park, Magical Christmas
What: Celebrate a magical Christmas with a light and sound show in the Sculpture Park
When: Every day until December 30th (except the 24th and 25th), 15:00-21:00
