Major expansion: Aalborg Airport ready with new departures

Friday morning, Aalborg Airport revealed that SAS has just announced a major expansion of their routes from Aalborg.

And it’s great news if you’re a ski enthusiast.

The expansion includes direct winter flights to Scandinavian Mountains Airport, located near the ski resorts Sälen and Trysil.

“With more than double the number of seats and departures, it’s now even easier to go skiing in the Norwegian and Swedish mountains,” Aalborg Airport wrote on Facebook.

The first departure to the Scandinavian ski mecca takes off on December 14, and the last one will be on March 15, 2026.

There will be departures on Sundays in December and early January, after which the schedule expands significantly from January 8 with flights on both Thursdays and Sundays.
