Makes big investment in Aalborg: New airline launches routes to Iceland and the US
The good news from Aalborg Airport continue.
In December, the airport revealed that they’re opening a direct route from Aalborg to New York.
Today, the Icelandic airline, PLAY, has presented three new routes that will fly people from Jutland and Funen to Iceland and the United States.
This will massively benefit people from North Jutland.
PLAY is ready with a new route to Iceland and the United States from Aalborg. It will fly from June 10th to October 23rd 2023 on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Usually only flies from Copenhagen
The three routes are a substantial expansion of PLAY’s activities in Denmark, which only included flights out of Copenhagen before.
The ticket sale starts today, January 5th, and the travel period from Aalborg, Aarhus, and Billund stretches from the summer to the fall.
It’s less than a year ago that PLAY presented their first destination in Scandinavia when they opened in Copenhagen.
Since then many travel-happy Danes have used the opportunity to fly to popular American destinations like New York, Boston, Washington, and Baltimore via Iceland.
