A proper meat lover’s dream: New stall opens in Friis Streetfood

If there’s one thing that can lure MigogAalborg out of autumn hibernation, it’s when the city’s food spots unveil something new.
And that’s exactly what’s happened at Friis Streetfood, which recently teased a brand-new stall on Instagram – serving up everything from steak sandwiches to steak & fries with béarnaise.
The new stall is called Aasrilicious, and it turns out to be a Nepalese-inspired eatery, offering dishes like Nepali Momo, Chicken Biryani, and Steak Sandwich with fries.
Naturally, we had to give it a try.
A small stall with big ambitions
At the moment, a few stalls in Friis Streetfood are sitting empty, so the opening of Aasrilicious is a very welcome addition.
It also stands out from the rest — no flashy signs, no bright photos or neon lights. Just a simple menu and a kitchen filled with the warm, spiced aromas of freshly cooked food.
We ordered Steak Sandwich, Shyaphale Chicken, Fried Momo, and Steak & Chips.

And yes, that combination might send your taste buds a bit in all directions – but the friendly man behind the counter got to work right away, focused and calm, while we found a spot in the street food hall.
Crispy fries with a twist
The dishes arrived one by one — and let’s just say, they didn’t skimp on the fries (thankfully).
These weren’t your usual soft, forgettable fries — they were rustic, crisp, and lightly seasoned with warm spices. Almost festive in flavor — but in a good way. You could tell they’d spent that crucial extra minute in the fryer that makes all the difference.
The steak itself was tender and juicy, and the béarnaise sauce sat rich and velvety on top — exactly as it should.

The steak was tender and juicy, and the béarnaise sauce lay heavy and sinful on top – exactly as it should.
A sandwich for the meat lovers
The steak sandwich was definitely one for the carnivores.
It’s made for people who love a proper piece of red meat and don’t mind if the bread isn’t the star of the show. The ciabatta was a little on the dry side, but the juicy filling more than made up for it — and you could taste that the cook truly cared about the flavor.
He even came over several times during the meal to ask how everything was — and yes, it really did taste great.
All in all, Aasrilicious is an authentic, cozy little spot that clearly puts effort into what it serves — and that kind of genuine service shouldn’t be taken for granted.
