Merry Corona Christmas: International media applaud Santa in the Zoo
Christmas has for sure arrived in Aalborg.
This year, the city center is decorated more beautifully than ever. Moreover, Aalborg Zoo once again transforms into a magical winter wonderland with Christmas cabins and lights galore.
This is definitely a year that requires a new way of thinking and a pinch of Christmas magic – and that’s precisely what Aalborg Zoo set out to do. The result is a giant snowglobe where Santa Claus is placed right in the middle.
Now Santa Claus can reach the heart of all children and spectators through the snowglobe. He will be waving, meeting, and greeting everyone safely behind bubble-like walls.
The remarkable invention caught the eye of the rest of the world. In fact, BBC recognized the creation in an Instagram post where they have an audience of roughly 16 million people.
BBC News posted a picture of this heartwarming sight with the following text:
“Christmas is a little different this year, but it’s not stopping Santa from spreading some festive cheer. At Denmark’s Aalborg Zoo, he greeted children from a special “festive bubble” – complete with a snowman, sleigh and other treats from the North Pole.“
