A must-try in the summer: You have to taste this chocolate-coated marshmallow ice cream

This week will bring some truly delightful temperatures. And that, of course, calls for the right gear—like sunscreen, sunglasses, plenty of water, but most importantly: ice cream!
In that spirit, we stopped by IsVærftet at Stjernepladsen 43 to find the perfect ice cream for this summer heat. And luckily, that’s exactly what we found!

IsVærftet has added a chocolate-coated marshmallow (flødebolle) ice cream to the menu, and it’s a truly unique creation.
When you order a flødebolle ice cream at IsVærftet, you can choose between two different variations.
With the first version, you get a flødebolle of your choice from Anker Chokolade in a cup. The flødebolle is then wrapped in a perfect swirl of vanilla soft serve and topped off with a fun selection of syrup and sprinkles.
With the second version, you pick a scoop of your choice from their wild ice cream selection. The scoop is then topped with a delicious, classic flødebolle from Aalborg Chokoladen. It’s also covered in vanilla soft serve and finished with sprinkles of your choice.
That means you get a delicious soft serve hiding a flødebolle in the middle—and a scoop of ice cream at the very bottom of the cup. You could call it an ice cream that just keeps on giving, and it tasted heavenly!

But besides the flødebolle ice cream, we also found another summery treat that you simply have to try.
Their vanilla-mango soft serve tastes like tropical summer, right in the middle of Stjernepladsen—yum!
Next week, however, they’ll be swapping the mango for an even more irresistible flavor that’s actually hard to find in Aalborg’s ice cream scene. So you’ve got that to look forward to as well!

Both versions of the flødebolle ice cream cost 55 DKK, and a cup of soft serve costs 39 DKK for a regular size, 47 DKK for a large, and 25 DKK for a kids’ size.
