New café in City Syd: Grand opening celebration planned

Food lovers in Aalborg’s City Syd shopping district will soon have another dining option to choose from. 

From IKEA’s famous meatballs and French hot dogs at Bauhaus to barista coffee at Plantorama and the many restaurants at Shoppen and Aalborg Storcenter, the area already offers plenty of places to eat. Now, Biltema is adding its own café to the list. 

After several months of construction, Biltema is ready to unveil its latest investment in Aalborg: Biltema Café. 

The café will officially open on Saturday, 22 August, when Biltema will welcome visitors from across North Jutland for a grand opening celebration. 

The news was confirmed to MigogAalborg by Peter G. Davidsen, store manager at Biltema Aalborg. 

“We’re incredibly excited, and it’s going to be a fantastic day with great events, special opening offers, live music and much more for everyone who stops by,” says Peter G. Davidsen. 

What to expect 

Anyone who has recently driven past Biltema’s large store in City Syd has probably noticed the major extension currently being added to the building. 

Half of the new space will become part of the existing store, creating wider aisles and providing an even better shopping experience for customers. 

The remaining space has been reserved for the biggest addition: Biltema Café. 

The concept has already been introduced at several other Biltema stores, including Randers and Hjørring, where the company says it has been a major success. 

“We have high expectations for the new café, and we’re excited to offer our customers quality food at competitive prices,” says Peter G. Davidsen. 

The menu will include burgers, steak sandwiches, sandwiches and hot dogs, as well as sweet treats such as Belgian waffles with soft serve ice cream, doughnuts and cakes. 

The new café will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, giving customers the opportunity to enjoy meals throughout the day in one convenient location.
