From 49 DKK: New Chinabox has opened in Aalborg

by Stine Kjølby Christensen

Friis Streetfood has gradually become a gathering place for food lovers in Aalborg.

Here, you can go on a culinary world tour without leaving the city, and now there’s also room for good old Chinabox.

It may not be the fanciest or most innovative option, but that’s probably not the point either.

Chinabox is food that’s easy to understand – and easy to afford.

Prices start at 49 kroner for a small box with six pieces, while a medium box with eight pieces costs 59 kroner.

If you’re extra hungry, you can go all in with a large box containing ten pieces for just 69 kroner.

This is how it works – here’s the menu

At Chinabox, it’s easy to put together your own box, and you have plenty of options to choose exactly what you’re in the mood for.

First, you choose the size of your box.

Will it be a small box with six pieces, a medium with eight pieces, or a large with ten pieces?

Once you’ve decided, it’s time to choose the filling.

Here, you can choose between rice or noodles as the base, and then decide whether you want curry sauce or the classic sweet-and-sour sauce.

But it’s the toppings that make Chinabox something truly special.

You can choose between battered chicken, crispy shrimp, spring rolls with either beef or duck, calamari rings, or gyoza with chicken or vegetables.

So there’s something for everyone – whether you’re into the classics or want to try something new.

Extra toppings?

If you want to make your box even more delicious, you can add extra sides.

For a small additional price, you can get two pieces of battered chicken, shrimp, spring rolls, calamari rings, or gyoza as a supplement to your box.

And of course, there’s also the option to add a little extra topping.

Here you can choose between chili, teriyaki, sweet-and-sour sauce, Kewpie mayo, toasted sesame seeds, or dried chili – all at prices that make it easy to try a bit of everything.

If you’re in the mood for a crispy snack on the side, you can also order freshly fried prawn crackers for 25 kroner.

So there’s full-on indulgence with both deep-frying and flavor at Aalborg’s new food stall – and we can only recommend stopping by.
