New coffee place opens in Aalborg: Specially selected Vietnamese coffee at great prices

The aroma of freshly roasted coffee is already wafting through Vingårdsgade.
Starting this Thursday, you can stop by and taste Nhung Vu Høgh’s Vietnamese coffee dream: Vietnam Café.
This is all about real, flavorful coffee, roasted with love and respect for the traditions of the world’s second-largest coffee-exporting country – Vietnam.
“It should be easy to grab on the way to work. That’s a big thing in Vietnam. Everyone picks up coffee on their way to work,” says Nhung, who has Vietnamese roots and a burning desire to share her passion with the people of Aalborg.
Behind the new coffee bar is Nhung Vu Høgh, whom many locals may already know from her previous work as a beautician in the very same premises at Vingårdsgade 11.
For four years, she has been beautifying customers, and now she’s transforming the space into a fragrant oasis of freshly roasted coffee.
“My regular clients can still get their final treatments and use their gift cards until the end of September,” she explains.

Reasonable prices and high quality
The prices? They range solidly between 25 and 35 DKK.
And if you’re curious to know more, you can always chat with Nhung, who roasts her beans on-site and possesses knowledge about Vietnamese coffee that any coffee nerd will love.
“It’s an expensive bean, but I want to offer really good coffee to the people of Aalborg,” she says.
And you can feel it. Or rather, taste it.
Forget all about a café latte where you have to search for the coffee flavor—even with two shots of espresso.
Here, the flavor is bold and makes room for both robusta beans (with more caffeine and strength) and the milder arabica. Both types are harvested only once a year and are carefully selected by Nhung herself during her trip to Vietnam this past winter to find just the right suppliers.
Vietnamese iced coffee and sweet indulgence
On the menu, you’ll find the classic Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk—a sweet and creamy specialty that both awakens the senses and cools you down on a warm day.
You can take your coffee to go, or—once the former beauty rooms have been transformed—enjoy it in a calm, indoor setting.

In the future, Nhung also plans to sell her roasted beans through a webshop, so you can brew Vietnamese coffee right in your own kitchen.
The coffee bar opens with the following opening hours:
Monday to Friday: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM (until September 30)
After October 1: 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Saturday: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Sunday: Closed
