Cool drinks in the city: We stopped by the city’s newest cocktail bar
The city’s newest cocktail bar, Ozzy, opened the doors last week.
This follows a renovation of the premises at Borgergade 25, where the Eritrean and Ethiopian family restaurant ‘Restaurant Nati’ previously was located.
Now, owner Oliver Bruun, bar manager Frederikke Amalie Jacobsen, and the entire team are ready to welcome the people of Aalborg inside!
Before the opening, we stopped by for a taste test of the various cocktails served directly from the keg.
And the concept is absolutely brilliant—and really simple. You can choose between five different cocktails and three different beers—and get some snacks at the table.
You really don’t need much more.
Pornstar Passion and Rhubarb Gin Sour
In the relaxed and—by Aalborg standards—quite trendy atmosphere, we settled in comfortably and dove into the cocktail lineup.
We started with tastings of their Mojito, Pornstar Passion, and a pistachio cocktail.

The mojito was exactly as it should be—no surprises there.
But the pistachio drink, made with vanilla vodka, amaretto, blue curaçao, and pistachio syrup, was something we’d never tried before. With an incredible sweetness from the syrup and the vanilla flavor, it’s not a cocktail for those afraid of sugar.
The evening’s favorite was the Pornstar Passion. It’s also made with vanilla vodka and vanilla syrup, but the difference here is that it has plenty of fruit juice, so it’s not just sweet for sweetness’ sake. It’s super fresh and perfect for the summer, hopefully just around the corner.

All the bar’s cocktails come directly from kegs, but that doesn’t mean they skimp on the details. Mint in the mojito, passion fruit in the Pornstar Passion, and lime in the pistachio drink.
The last two cocktails on the menu—Rhubarb Gin Sour and Pina Colada—have a flavored foam made from egg whites added, which is just a cool extra touch.
Rhubarb Gin Sour is made with Berkshire gin and really has the perfect sourness that a good “sour” drink should have. Both the rhubarb juice and rhubarb syrup help balance the flavor really well.
The Pina Colada tastes exactly as a Pina Colada should. There’s really nothing to fault there either.
If you prefer a beer, Ozzy can sort that out for you too.
On tap, besides the five cocktails, they also have a pilsner from Beck’s, a New England IPA from Anarkist, and Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc.
Of course, we tried those as well, and they were just as good as usual.
Whether the cocktail lineup will be rotated at some point remains to be seen. For now, the team behind Ozzy is just looking forward to getting started and serving drinks over the bar.
We recommend dropping by if you’re even just a little bit thirsty.
