Big new opening: Giant café is now open in City Syd

This week, the doors opened to a brand-new café in City Syd.

After several months of construction, Biltema finally welcomed its first guests to the new Biltema Café on a few days ago.

The café is located in a large extension to the store.

The opening was celebrated from the very start of the day.

At 9:00 a.m., the ribbon was officially cut, and the first guests were treated to a free breakfast.

The celebrations will continue throughout the day with live music, competitions, special opening offers, and various activities.

The opening marks the completion of the many new square metres that have been added to the Biltema store in City Syd over the past few months.

A large-scale café

This is far more than just a few tables and a coffee machine.

The café occupies around half of the new extension, while the remaining space has been added to the store itself.

The expansion has provided wider aisles and more room throughout the store.

With approximately 2,000 additional square metres, the Biltema store now covers a total of 6,000 square metres.

More than 1,000 square metres of the extension have been dedicated to new retail space, providing more room for both products and customers.

The main entrance has been relocated, but the most noticeable addition is the new café, where customers can now sit down before, during, or after their shopping trip.

“We are proud to finally be able to show our customers the new store and café.

The entire team has been looking forward to this day, and it has been a joint effort, with colleagues from other Biltema stores also helping with the renovation,” said Peter Davidsen, Store Manager at Biltema Aalborg.

Burgers, steak sandwiches and waffles

The menu offers much more than just coffee and cake.

The new café serves burgers, Danish steak sandwiches, sandwiches, and hot dogs, while the sweet selection includes donuts, cakes, and Belgian waffles with soft serve ice cream.

This means customers can stop by for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or simply a quick snack.

Biltema already operates cafés at several of its Danish stores, including those in Randers and Hjørring.

From today, however, residents of Aalborg can also grab a bite to eat while visiting the DIY and shopping centre.

Biltema is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
