New summer spot in Aalborg: Ice cream shop opens in the forest
Are you melting in the long queues at Aalborg’s ice cream shops? Here’s a tip that lets you skip them entirely.
Right in what may be Aalborg’s most beautiful forest, a brand-new ice cream kiosk has opened.
Not only does it serve Kastbergs gourmet ice cream, but it also offers natural shade beneath the treetops and stunning views across the entire city.
Of course, you’ll find the new kiosk at the top of the city, beneath the Aalborg Tower.

A thoughtfully designed spot
It makes you wonder why no one thought of it before, but the new operator has transformed an old storage shed into a charming ice cream shop.
The walls are decorated with striped wallpaper that creates a cozy beach hut atmosphere, and your ice cream can even be topped with a waffle printed with the Aalborg Tower.
In other words, it’s a beautifully designed place that doesn’t require a ticket to the tower—or waiting in a long queue.

At the same time, you can enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of Aalborg, as the hedges surrounding the area have been trimmed low enough to fully reveal the scenery.
Once again, it’s hard to believe no one thought of these simple improvements before.
You can enjoy your ice cream while relaxing in sturdy Danish garden furniture beneath cool parasols.
The ice cream kiosk is open daily from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM until 31 August.
