Breaking food news: Now you can get a delicious Special Burger at IKEA Aalborg

Even though the sun is shining today, we all know it probably won’t stay sunny for the rest of the summer.

On those cloudier and maybe rainy days, a trip to IKEA is always a safe bet.

And now there’s EVEN more reason to stop by our good Swedish friend.

You can now enjoy a steak sandwich in the restaurant.

New on the menu

This is IKEA’s first attempt at a steak sandwich—and let’s be clear right away: they’ve done it well.

The work on the newest menu addition has been in the making for a long time, and Aalborg has become the test city for the steak sandwich.

So far, the locals have really embraced it.

At IKEA Aalborg, the steak sandwich comes with a burger bun, a 150-gram beef patty, pickled cucumbers and beets, ketchup, remoulade, fried onions, spring onions, and of course the delicious brown gravy.

According to IKEA Aalborg, it has already settled nicely as the third best-selling item on the menu.

It’s of course tough to beat the Swedish meatballs, but the steak sandwich is making a respectable run.

It’s also served with fries.

All you can eat dessert

To finish off the tasty lunch, head to the dessert table and soft-serve machine, where for only 39 DKK you can go wild.

You can eat as much as you want and add everything from various sprinkles and Daim pieces to candy and gummy bears on your ice cream.

All topped off with chocolate or caramel sauce.

The flavorful steak sandwich costs 99 DKK, but as an IKEA Family member, you get it for 89 DKK.
