New restrictions in Aalborg: Face masks in restaurants and closing time at 22:00

by Nathalia Hentze Nielsen

Last Friday, the Prime Minister of Denmark announced new country-wide restrictions.

The new restrictions state that restaurants, cafées, bars, and other eateries in the whole country must close at 22:00.

These new initiatives are initially in effect from Saturday, September 19th, until Sunday, October 4th.

Additionally, all guests and employees must wear face masks unless they’re seated.

The news were announced by Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen on a press conference last week.

The ban on gatherings has also been changed so that no more than 50 people can gather at the same place.

“If we don’t act, we’re risking that the spread becomes uncontrollable, and it’ll have far bigger consequences than what we’re seeing now,” Mette Frederiksen said at the press conference.
